Syntactica Services

Syntactica offers a wide variety of XML open-source driven integration and customization services that can be quickly tailored to meet your organizations needs.

  • Business Requirements - Syntactica Professional Services staff will work with your organization to gather business requirements for your project. A custom web-based requirements application will be used to manage the full lifecycle of all business requirements including classification of business requirements, priority of business requirements, identification of architecturally significant business requirements and requirement approval and status management. Our requirements management tools store all their information directly in XML and can be integrated into multiple projects. Just like all Syntactica applications, requirements can have their own atom feeds and time line reports.
  • Architectural Tradeoff Analysis - Syntactica Professional Services staff can score your architecturally significant requirements against the major document management architectures. We are familiar with RDBMS systems with XML extensions, native XML databases, document management systems and information search and retrieval tools. The outcome of the Architectural Tradeoff Modeling process (ATAM) is an overall score that compares the architectural fit of your business requirements to architectures under consideration.
  • Integration - Syntactica Professional Services will integrate a variety of open source products and directly into your business systems. These products are carefully selected from a large palette of open source systems.
  • Customization - Although Syntactica offers a large library of text-mining products, these products can be quickly customized to meet highly specialized business requirements.
  • Customized Apache UIMA Components - Syntactica can customize any of the currently available Apache Unstructured Information Architecture text-mining components to meet your organizations needs. This includes part-of-speech analysis, word stemming or word frequency counts.
  • XQuery Reporting - Syntactica text-mining architecture places the output of the text-mining process directly into XML files that can be quickly analyzed by the powerful XQuery language. Because the XML data is always indexed, these reports run quickly, even on large document collections. Our library of document analysis reports can be quickly modified to
  • Native XML Database - Syntactica text-mining architecture uses native XML databases for fast storage and retrieval of complex, unstructured data. The Syntactica staff is a contributor to the eXist Database Open Source Project.
  • Mashup Enablement - The Syntactica text-mining architecture allows free-form text to play a role in re-purposing of documents into new mashups. Examples include time-line and spacial maps.
  • RSS/Atom Harvester - The Syntactica text-mining system reads RSS and Atom feeds and automatically harvests text documents stored in these feeds.
  • RDF Extraction - Syntactica text-mining applications can be configured to support w3c RDF formats as well as other XML markup and XML metadata formats.
