This document contains macros that demonstrate how the Syntactica Web Services API can be used to create Back of the Book Indexes and Abstracts from Microsoft Word documents. After following the steps below, click the “Install ePrecis” button below to install the macros to your NORMAL.DOT document template so that you can use them with any active Microsoft Word document.This software requires Microsoft Soap version 3.0 to be installed on your computer.  The software is available for download from Microsoft at Soap 3.0 Toolkit.  You must have administrative privileges in order to install this software.




The macros installed by this document are intended for use with English-language versions of Word, but should work with most other language editions.  The Macros in this template were designed for MS Word Version 8.x (i.e. Word 97) or later and to work with ePrecis.
